New Al Alamein is a recently developed city on Egypt's northwestern Mediterranean coast, inaugurated in 2018 and envisioned as a "fourth-generation" city focused on tourism, education, and modern living. It aims to become a major summer and tourist capital.
It features luxury resorts, high-rise residential and commercial towers, universities, cultural centers, and government buildings, while offering an alternative to crowded Cairo.
العلمين الجديدة مدينة حديثة على الساحل الشمالي بمحافظة مرسى مطروح، تمتد 48 كيلومترًا على الطريق الساحلي، وتضم أنشطة سكنية وسياحية وثقافية وصناعية وبحثية وجامعات وفنادق عالمية وممشى سياحي بطول 14 كم، ويمكن الوصول إليها عبر مطار العلمين الدولي.

Inaugurated in March 2018 and planned across some 48,000 acres, New Al Alamein is Egypt's flagship Mediterranean "summer capital" — a fourth-generation smart city about 110 km west of Alexandria. It is designed for year-round living, not just summer, with around fifteen towers, three universities, roughly 10,000 hotel rooms, a 14-km corniche, and its own international airport, all powered with sustainable desalination and solar systems.
