مشروع القطار الكهربائي السريع

• الخط الرئيسي: يربط بين العين السخنة والعلمين مروراً بالعاصمة الإدارية الجديدة والمدن الجديدة الأخرى.

• الطول: حوالي 460 كيلومترًا.

• السرعة التصميمية: 250 كيلومترًا في الساعة.

• الهدف: ربط المدن الجديدة بشبكة السكك الحديدية وتوفير وسيلة نقل حديثة وآمنة للركاب والبضائع

قطارات تالجو

• الميزات: تعتبر من أحدث القطارات الفاخرة في مصر، وتتميز بتصميمها الحديث ومقصوراتها الفسيحة

• والخدمات المتطورة التي توفرها.

• المسار: تعمل على خطوط الوجهين القبلي والبحري

قطار ديسيرو

• الميزات:

  هو أول قطار في مصر يعمل بنظام الطابقين ويتميز بسرعته القصوى التي تصل إلى 160 كيلومترًا في الساعة.

• الشبكة:

  يعمل على شبكة القطار الكهربائي السريع التي لا يزال إنشاؤها مستمرًا بطول 2000 كيلومتر.

القطار الكهربائي الخفيف (LRT)

• الطول: 103 كيلومترات.

• المحطات: 19 محطة.

• المسار: يخدم مدن شرق القاهرة.

أنواع القطارات الأخرى

• بالإضافة إلى القطارات الحديثة، تعمل السكك الحديدية المصرية أيضًا على قطارات النوم، وقطارات VIP، والقطارات المميزة "الروسي"

Egypt is developing Africa's first and world's sixth-largest high-speed rail network, a massive $23 billion, 2,000-kilometer electric system connecting 60 cities from the Red Sea to the Mediterranean. Spearheaded by Siemens Mobility, this multi-line project will feature high-speed passenger and freight trains, aiming to reduce travel times, boost economic growth, and create jobs across the country.

  A comprehensive 2,000 km network of electric, high-speed, regional, and freight lines.

• Goal:

  To create a "Suez Canal on tracks," connecting the Red Sea and Mediterranean coasts and linking major cities and industrial zones.

• Benefits:

  Expected to cut carbon emissions, decrease travel times, create thousands of jobs, and support regional economic development

Key Components

• Three Lines:

  The network is planned in three main phases.

  • Line 1: A 660 km line from Ain Sokhna on the Red Sea, through the new administrative capital, to Alexandria and Marsa Matruh on the Mediterranean.

  • Line 2: A 1,100 km line connecting the Greater Cairo region to Abu Simbel near the Sudan border.

  • Line 3: A 225 km line linking Luxor and the Red Sea ports of Hurghada and Safaga.

• Infrastructure:

  • Electrified lines powered by substations and catenary systems.

  • Smart station hubs with integrated services.

  • Cutting-edge signaling systems, including ETCS Level 2.

• Rolling Stock:

  • Velaro high-speed trains.

  • Desiro regional trains for intercity trips.

  • Vectron freight locomotives

Timeline & Partners

• Contracts: Signed with Siemens Mobility, Orascom Construction, and The Arab Contractors.

• Construction: The first segment is under construction, with the broader network being built in phases.

• First Trains: The first Velaro high-speed train was set to be delivered in August 2025
