- 7–8 days — the most sold package in the market: Cairo plus a 3 or 4 night Nile cruise, linked by internal flights.
- 10–12 days — the same with more Cairo time, Abu Simbel, or four nights on the Red Sea at the end.
- 14–15 days — adds Alexandria, the Western Desert oases, or a slower dahabiya instead of a standard cruise boat.
Anything under four days is a city break rather than an Egypt trip; anything over fifteen usually means a special-interest itinerary.

How far ahead should I book an Egypt package?
Three to six months for travel between October and April, and earlier for Christmas, New Year and Easter. Summer packages can be booked a few weeks out.
Can Egypt tour packages be customised?
Most operators will adjust hotel tier, cruise length, and which optional sites are included. Private packages are customisable throughout; fixed-departure group tours generally are not.
