منذ عام 2014، شرعت مصر في واحدة من أكثر حملات البنية التحتية طموحاً في العالم - مدن الجيل الرابع لتخفيف الازدحام في القاهرة، وآلاف الكيلومترات من الطرق والسكك الحديدية الجديدة، وقطاع الطاقة المتجددة سريع النمو الذي يستهدف 42٪ من توليد الطاقة بحلول عام 2030. وتهدف هذه الاستراتيجية، التي تتمحور حول "رؤية 2030" الوطنية، إلى تحديث الاقتصاد وتنويع النمو مع استقبال أعداد قياسية من الزوار - ما يقرب من 19 مليون زائر في عام 2025.
