Private or group for a weekخاص أم جماعي
Seven days has no slack, which argues for private: your own start times mean being at Karnak and the Giza plateau at opening rather than when a coach rota allows. On a short trip that's the difference between seeing the sites and queueing at them.

What does a 7 day Egypt tour cost?
It varies by hotel tier, whether a cruise is included, and whether guiding is private. Land-only prices for the same week can differ by a factor of three between budget group and premium private.
Is 7 days enough for Egypt?
For two bases, yes. For Cairo, Luxor, a cruise and Aswan it is tight but workable if you fly between them and accept a fast Cairo.
Does a 7 day Egypt tour include Abu Simbel?
Rarely. It needs a dedicated day from Aswan and doesn't fit a week that includes Cairo. Plan ten days if Abu Simbel matters.
Should I pick the cruise or the Luxor-hotel version?
Cruise if you want Edfu, Kom Ombo and Aswan. Luxor hotels if you'd rather have Saqqara, more Cairo time and no packing mid-trip.
