Egypt All Inclusive

عطلات شاملة كليًا

All-inclusive is the default on the Red Sea and the standard varies more than the price does. These are the things that differ between two resorts charging the same.

What's usually inما يُشمل عادة

  • Buffet breakfast, lunch and dinner, plus snack outlets through the day.
  • Local-brand soft drinks, beer, wine and spirits, typically from set dispensers.
  • Pools, sun loungers, towels, and non-motorised watersports at some resorts.
  • Entertainment programmes and kids' clubs.

What usually isn't

  • Imported spirits and branded drinks, often a separate upgrade tier.
  • À la carte restaurants beyond one or two bookable visits per stay.
  • Diving, boat trips, spa treatments, motorised watersports.
  • Wi-Fi in rooms at some properties, and safe-box rental at many.
  • Excursions, and tips — which remain customary even on all-inclusive.

How to judge a resortكيف تقيّم المنتجع

House reefThe single most important feature for snorkellers. Some resorts have reef at the jetty; others have sand and a long boat ride.
Jetty or beachMuch of the Red Sea coast reaches the sea over reef, via a pontoon. Excellent for snorkelling, awkward for toddlers.
À la carte rulesAsk how many bookable visits are included per week and whether they must be reserved on arrival.
Renovation dateEgyptian resorts age fast in the sun and salt. A recent refurbishment matters more than the star rating.
Recent reviews onlyOwnership and management change often. Weight reviews from the last six months heavily.
Take normal care with buffet food: eat from busy, high-turnover stations, and be cautious with items sitting at lukewarm temperatures. This is ordinary buffet advice rather than anything Egypt-specific.

Where all-inclusive makes senseمتى يكون مناسبًا

On the Red Sea, where resorts are self-contained and often a drive from independent restaurants, it is usually the right call. In Cairo, Luxor or Aswan it isn't — the food outside the hotel is the point, and half board or bed and breakfast leaves you free to eat where you want.

Common questionsأسئلة شائعة

Is all-inclusive in Egypt good value?

On the Red Sea, generally yes. Resort drink prices add up and there are often few independent alternatives within walking distance. In cultural destinations it is poor value.

Are drinks really unlimited at Egyptian all-inclusive resorts?

Local-brand drinks generally are, within opening hours and from designated bars. Imported spirits and branded products usually cost extra or require an upgraded package.

Can you drink alcohol at Egyptian resorts?

Yes, resorts and licensed venues serve alcohol normally. It is not part of public life outside those settings.

Do you still tip at an all-inclusive resort in Egypt?

Yes. Tipping is customary across the service economy and expected even where food and drink are pre-paid. Carry small notes.
