Alongside its strategic grains, the New Delta produces a wide variety of fresh vegetables for everyday tables. Crops such as potatoes and other produce thrive on the reclaimed land, supplying Egypt's fast-growing domestic market with fresh, home-grown food. Much of this produce also feeds the project's processing and packing factories, turning farm-fresh vegetables into products for sale across the country and for export abroad.
إلى جانب حبوبها الاستراتيجية، تنتج الدلتا الجديدة تشكيلةً واسعة من الخضروات الطازجة لموائد كل يوم. فمحاصيل كالبطاطس وغيرها من المنتجات تزدهر في الأرض المستصلَحة، مُمِدّةً سوق مصر المحلّية السريعة النموّ بغذاءٍ طازج محلّي. وكثيرٌ من هذه المنتجات يغذّي أيضًا مصانع التصنيع والتعبئة في المشروع، محوّلًا الخضروات الطازجة إلى منتجاتٍ للبيع في أنحاء البلاد وللتصدير للخارج.

Egypt's population is large and fast-growing, creating constant demand for fresh vegetables. The New Delta helps meet that demand, growing a range of produce — potatoes prominent among them — on its new desert farms. By increasing the domestic supply of fresh food, the project helps keep markets well stocked and supports stable access to healthy produce for families across the country.

Much of the New Delta's vegetable harvest flows into the Future of Egypt City agro-industrial hub, where crops are sorted, packed, and processed — for example into frozen or packaged products. This adds value to the raw produce, creates jobs, and extends shelf life, helping fresh food reach markets in good condition and reducing waste between the field and the consumer.

While much produce serves the home market, vegetables are also an important export — Egyptian agricultural exports have grown strongly in recent years. By supplying both domestic consumers and foreign buyers, the New Delta's vegetables contribute to food security at home and to valuable export earnings abroad, rounding out the project's mix of grains, fruits, and fresh produce.
