Growing crops in the desert is only half the story; the harvest must also be processed, stored, and brought to market. That is the role of Future of Egypt City — known in Arabic as Mostaqbal Misr — the agro-industrial hub at the centre of the New Delta. Here, factories, packing lines, cold stores, and silos turn the raw produce of the new farmland into finished goods for Egyptian tables and for export, adding value at every step.

Future of Egypt City is designed as an agro-industrial complex that converts the New Delta's crops into processed products. It brings together food factories, sorting and packing lines, and manufacturing facilities so that produce can be cleaned, processed, packaged, and prepared for sale all in one place. By manufacturing finished goods rather than exporting raw crops, the project aims to capture more value within Egypt and support a wider food-industry economy.

The city also houses extensive storage facilities, including refrigeration and freezing units and large grain silos, allowing the harvest to be kept safely and supplied throughout the year. This storage capacity is vital for food security, smoothing out the seasonal nature of farming and helping to build strategic reserves of essential staples for the nation.

As a major industrial centre, Future of Egypt City is intended to create large numbers of jobs and to drive exports of Egyptian agricultural products. Managed by a dedicated state authority, it is the commercial and industrial engine of the New Delta — the place where the project's agricultural ambitions are translated into products, trade, and employment for a growing population.
