To modernize and grow this industry, Egypt is developing a specialized Gold and Jewelry City — a dedicated zone for gold refining and jewelry manufacturing. By gathering goldsmiths, refiners, and traders into one well-regulated hub, it aims to formalize the trade, raise standards, and turn Egypt's ancient affinity for gold into a thriving modern export industry.
