What's includedما يشمله
- Aswan — Philae Temple, the High Dam, the unfinished obelisk, usually on the afternoon you board.
- Kom Ombo — the double temple of Sobek and Haroeris, on the riverbank.
- Edfu — the Temple of Horus, the most complete temple standing in Egypt.
- Esna — the lock, and sometimes the temple.
- Luxor — arrival only. The East and West Banks are usually not part of a three-night sailing.
That last point is the one people get wrong. A four-day cruise gets you to Luxor; it doesn't show you Luxor.
How it fits a tripكيف يناسب رحلتك
| With Cairo | 3 Cairo nights + 3 cruise nights = a 7-day trip. The tightest workable Egypt week that includes a cruise. |
|---|---|
| With Luxor hotel nights | Add two nights in Luxor after disembarking for Karnak and the Valley of the Kings. |
| With Abu Simbel | Take it the day before boarding, from Aswan. |
| Direction | Almost always Aswan to Luxor, downstream. Upstream three-night sailings are rare. |
| Cost | The cheapest cruise segment sold on the river. |
Four days or five٤ أم ٥ أيام
The extra night on a five-day sailing normally buys the Luxor programme — Karnak, Luxor Temple and the West Bank — from the boat rather than from a hotel. If you weren't planning Luxor hotel nights, that's the better buy. If you were, the three-night version saves money without losing content.
Common questionsأسئلة شائعة
Is a 4 day Nile cruise worth it?
Yes, if you understand what it covers. Philae, Kom Ombo and Edfu are all included; Luxor's temples and tombs generally are not, and need hotel nights afterwards.
Which direction does a 4 day cruise sail?
Almost always Aswan to Luxor, downstream. Three-night upstream sailings are uncommon.
Does a 4 day Nile cruise include the Valley of the Kings?
Usually not. The West Bank is typically part of four-night sailings or arranged separately from a Luxor hotel.
Can I do a 4 day cruise and still see Cairo?
Yes — three Cairo nights plus three cruise nights makes a seven-day trip, linked by internal flights.
