The city of Damietta, on the Mediterranean coast, has been famous for generations for its skilled furniture makers — their craftsmanship prized across Egypt and the Arab world. To modernize and grow this celebrated industry, Egypt built Damietta Furniture City: a dedicated hub gathering workshops, factories, and showrooms in one planned location, equipped to raise the craft to industrial scale and boost exports of Egyptian furniture.
اشتهرت مدينة دمياط، على ساحل المتوسّط، لأجيالٍ بصنّاع الأثاث المهرة فيها — حرفيّتهم مرموقة في أنحاء مصر والعالم العربي. ولتحديث هذه الصناعة المحتفى بها وتنميتها، بنت مصر مدينة دمياط للأثاث: مركزٌ مخصّص يجمع الورش والمصانع وصالات العرض في موقعٍ واحد مُخطَّط، مجهّزٍ لرفع الحرفة إلى نطاقٍ صناعي وتعزيز صادرات الأثاث المصري.
