Qalyubia Governorateمحافظة القليوبية

Bordering Cairo to the south, Qalyubia is part of the Greater Cairo economic region and one of Egypt's most densely populated governorates. Its capital Banha is famous nationwide for its peach orchards, while the riverside gardens of Al-Qanatir Al-Khayriyya mark the point where the Nile divides into the Rosetta and Damietta branches.

تحدّ القليوبية القاهرة من الجنوب، وهي جزء من إقليم القاهرة الكبرى الاقتصادي ومن أكثر محافظات مصر كثافة سكانية. تشتهر عاصمتها بنها على مستوى البلاد ببساتين الخوخ، بينما تمثّل حدائق القناطر الخيرية النقطة التي ينقسم عندها النيل إلى فرعي رشيد ودمياط.
