Egypt's smallest governorate by area, Monufia occupies the triangular apex of the Nile Delta between the Rosetta and Damietta branches. It's best known as the birthplace of two Egyptian presidents — Anwar Sadat and Hosni Mubarak — and for the planned industrial city that bears Sadat's name.

المنوفية أصغر محافظات مصر مساحة، وتشغل قمة مثلث دلتا النيل بين فرعي رشيد ودمياط. تشتهر بكونها مسقط رأس رئيسين مصريين — أنور السادات وحسني مبارك — وبمدينة السادات الصناعية المخططة التي تحمل اسمه.
