محافظة قناQena Governorate

Where the Nile makes its distinctive Qena bend, this governorate is best known for the Dendera Temple complex, one of Egypt's most beautifully preserved ancient sites. Nearby Nag Hammadi gave its name to a 1945 discovery of ancient Gnostic manuscripts that reshaped scholarship on early Christianity.

حيث ينحني النيل انحناءه المميز في قنا، تشتهر هذه المحافظة بمجمع معابد دندرة، أحد أجمل المواقع الأثرية المصرية حفظًا. وقرب نجع حمادي، أعطت المدينة اسمها لاكتشاف عام 1945 لمخطوطات غنوصية قديمة أعاد تشكيل الدراسات حول المسيحية المبكرة.
